About the 1941 Beano Book 
This wartime annual is filled with classic comic strips and adventure stories. The book was available for 3 shillings when it was first released. As the weekly comic was only 2 pennies, it would take have taken more than a few weeks to save up for.  

This annual was slightly longer than its 1940 predecessor and features a recognisable cast of classic comic characters. As well as speech balloons, many comic panels have text underneath them. On many pages, these rhyme to help tell an extra part of the story.
